Yep, without much noticeability, today exhibited a landmark in the history of Moorelife:

I wonder where we’ll be at 21-12-2012? Based on just over 2000 articles
in the last 8 months, and about 27 months to go, would 10000 articles be
too ambitious? We’ll see, but for now I’m having fun, so no intentions
of finding something nicer to do. And even if something nicer suddenly
showed up, I’m sure I’d be able to take my mind off it long enough to do at
least one daily update with a bunch of articles.

We’re nearing another numerological LANDMARK, aren’t we? It’s called
the 10-10-10. October 10, 2010. Whereas October 10, 2001 represented
"New Beginnings" for a New Millennium—that same date in 2010
represents New Beginnings, One Level Up.

The Reconnections remind us often that the design and invention of
computer technology sprang from our collective remembrance of the
manifold ways human consciousness functions—physiologically,
psychologically, and spiritually. For example, take a look at Windows
Explorer on your computer. Notice how each "Root" has the capacity to
"frag-out" into a number of "sub files," each representing a program or
set of programs installed on that computer. If an operator wants to
take inventory of his programs, he will click on that file until all its
"sub-files" appear. When he is done with his count, he will "de-frag"
them back into the "Root," as though they were never there in the first
place.

The same is true with physical life. Each of us represents the "Root

Listless on the couch, like during the last article, when the door bell rang: wondering who it would be, I opened the door to my ex, who came to drop of her poodle on the way to work. She hates letting him stay at home sometimes, so I’m next in the line of care since the kids are also here on weekends.

Macho bounced into the living room, onto the couch, and stumbled all
over my netbook, shutting it down in passing. As I said goodbye to
Linda, and restarted the machine, he climbed onto my lap in front of the
netbook, and nuzzled my hands as if to say: "put that darned thing
away, and take care of me for a while!"

Not even six kilograms of
dog, beige and furry, nice and soft to the touch. As I sat there
stroking its curls, the nagging idea of not being quite happy vanished
like a snowball on a Tahiti afternoon. Wondering whether I was loving
it, or it was loving me, or both…

When we still lived under the
same roof, he’d always climb unto my lap, if he found me in the lotus

I think I’ve got most of the disbelief stuff covered, by allowing for  most of my world to simply exist without my interference. But when it comes to believing, there is this recurring tendency to slip back into the greatest killer of all manifestation: "Let’s wait and see"….

And thus I lie aimlessly on the couch, with most of my domestic chores done, and no real things that can (in any of my viewpoints) be considered excitement. Because the moment I start thinking about the things that do excite me, I’m too attached and thus not busy in alignment with my highest purpose.

And trying to figure out something more of the unimaginable simplicity of this Grand Design is way below my present complexity of mind. I need to simplify, forget all the rules I learned. It is just this feeling in my chest, that won’t rise above: "OK, so I’m here. What’s next?"  No fire there, because the fire got me nowhere in the last few years. At least nowhere I cared to go, that is….

Sure, stuff happened that wasn’t exactly bad, but it also wasn’t what I’d asked for.… Read the rest
