Arizona may become the second state, after Utah, to recognize gold and silver as legal tender authorized for payments of debts and taxes.

The Arizona Senate voted Thursday to approve SB 1439 which allows businesses and the state government to accept payments in gold or silver.

The Legal Tender bill specifies that legal tender in Arizona consists of all of the following:

1. Legal Tender authorized by Congress.

2. Specie (containing gold or silver) coin issued at any time by the U.S. government.

3. Any other specie that a court of competent jurisdiction rules by a final, unappealable order to be within the scope of state authority to make legal tender.

Currently all debts and taxes in Arizona and the rest of the United States are either paid with Federal Reserve Notes (dollars) which were authorized as legal tender by Congress, or with coins issued by the U.S. Treasury—very few of which have gold or silver in them.

Although Article 1, Section 10 of the United States Constitution states that no state shall coin money; the same section stipulates that no state shall make anything but gold and silver coin a tender in payment of debts.… Read the rest

What an altered reality check 2012 is turning out to be.

I remember having brunch in Sedona, Arizona, on New Year’s Day 2012 with two of my favorite soul brothers – Mongolian shaman Jade Wah’oo and shamanic astrologer Sao. As the sun shone brightly in a crystal-blue sky, we savored the sensual delights of a marvelous meal and conversation, a warm breeze dancing on our bare arms in the middle of winter.

We chatted about the potential and possibilities of this pivotal year, including the astrology (of course), the upcoming U.S. presidential election, the wave of revolution sweeping the planet, and sustainable choices we’re making in our day-to-day lives.

Back when I was writing my book, Cosmic Time, I asked Sao to look over the chapter I had written about the astrology of this period. Neither of us really wanted to “see” the intensity of the transits, but knew we must look. Now we’re living it, day by day. And we know this is just the beginning.

Now that Disclosure seems very close, I would like to describe what it has been like waiting for over fifty years for this event to occur. There  have been many occasions when it looked as if we might be close, and the truth would finally be told, but for many reasons it never was.

Before I describe some of the events that have occurred over the last fifty  years it might be helpful for me to say a little about my background.  I grew up in San Diego, California, in a family interested in spiritual studies.  My mother and grandfather often attended the Self-Realization Fellowship Church that was about a mile from our home.
