I went to an art walk on Friday night.  In one of the quaint shops a woman was playing the harp and a man, the harmonica.  It seems that they would be an unlikely pairing in the music realm. Yet, the man played the harmonica with sensitivity and softly hit the high notes prolonging its sound in such a pleasant way that it was elegant.  They pooled their resources and both were a valuable asset.  In fact the community in which they reside is as if they all comprehend the same thought forms and dreams.  A code of behavior exist and it is these that direct people to dedicate themselves to have a magnificent place to thrive.  I wouldn't be surprised if they chatted with animals either and listened intently.  Where ever we reside, a core group gathers bringing love and laughter saying "lets energize one another, we are related."  Interaction is an act of bliss in its own right for it allows us to validate existence and be uplifted.  While certain cycles are being completed and ending the journey, it will foster a new vista.  Collectively we are strong and self discovery is a happy occassion to be met with friends as we flourish into the unknown.  Earth changes will shift the consciousness and restore meaningful existence, the past is the past and you are on this current path to enjoy a new creation.  Agree to blend with the elements around you thanking them for their co operation and wisdom.  Live peacefully and radiate your truth.

 

28 March 2011 Today is like many days for many people, so who am I to be in a position of inspiration? Who I am is a person that is willing to be open and share my truth with you. Some days I wake up and can’t believe the life that I’m living. Why? Because it’s not the life I planned. From a very young age, I always had a very detailed plan for my life, then “life” happened to me. So, I regrouped and realized that I am not solely in control because God and the Universe has so much more in store for me. In those quiet and still moments, I smile because when the lights are out and the hurried hustle of life becomes still, I am okay with who I am and what I have to offer the Universe.

I am a person that’s thirsty for creativity and inspiration. When I need to feed my soul, my “go to” mediums are music, art, God, and my son. Music with depth and relatable lyrical content inspires me. Artists like Erykah Badu, Kirk Franklin, and Michael Franks, speak to my heart and my mind when I’m too overwhelmed to hear my own voice. Working on my artistic craft and the feeling I get from doing so, validates my passion for creative expression. I want to make art not just make “it!” God hears me when my heart is hurting, crying or yearning for more. His presence is so consistent in my life that even when I feel like I’ve walked away from Him, He’s still with me and pushing me forward. I never thought that one person could redefine me and my character, but my son has done that and more. He makes me look at myself differently. I’m in love with him and his purity. I am his mother and I love it.

I am at peace because I live in the present and I accept who I am. Lauren. God’s Child. Mother. Artist.

How can my journey inspire you? Because no matter where you are, you are exactly where you are supposed to be, at this moment. I encourage you to be true to yourself, at all times. When you honor yourself, things follow suit. Sometimes you have to take a moment to pat yourself on the back for your journey, thus far. When I began to act, I remember getting doors slammed in my face. I called my Dad and I was ready to walk away and he said this to me, “Every ‘No’ is one step closer to a ‘Yes!’” I truly believe his words. I leave you with this…no one can give, what you give, how you give it! So keep on giving the best of yourself because what you give is what you keep. We are all still growing so let’s be patient with ourselves.

All love is reaching for Me. Everyone and everything wants to reach Me, and love boosts you higher. The heights of love lift you higher. Love stands on your shoulders and reaches to the heights where all is love and you ride through the waves of love. Where is there to rise to except where love is? What do you think Heaven is? Heaven is where your love comes from and where your love is. Heaven is your natural state. Take the elevator up.
 
All that is needed for this rise is to get rid of the ballast that has held you down. All the ballast is the weight of the past, past thoughts, conclusions about what is called the past, false conclusions about the past and false conclusions about what is called the future. I suppose We must also add false conclusions about the present as you fly through it. You try to catch hold of that which cannot be held onto. The bongos of time have you in their thrall, and so you measure the bounty of natural love in your heart. You want to sew it up. Even when you know better, you still like the idea of love sewn in place. When you try to sew love in place, you squelch it.
 
Love is not an answer. Of course, it is the only answer there is, and yet love is not to be sought as an answer. The object of love is to love. There is no other gain but to love. Love is not an accumulation of merit badges. It is a giving. It gives solace to all concerned.
 
Consider love a path and go down it. Let love be the name of the street you go down. Of course, love is the only path to go down. All other paths are one way or dead-ends. All other paths leave you at the brink. They are false paths, trick paths. You have gone down them. And every time, even when you despair of enough love in your heart, you are left with no other path to go down but the path of love -- no other path to go down worth its salt, that is.

Now many of you know I am a digital artist, so allot of what I post is either computer generated artwork or heavily manipulated photography to create my art pieces.  The two photos above are neither.  The are actual unaltered photographs taken with my HTC EVO phone using the Camera 360 application with the right symmetry enabled (this means it flips the right side of the frame over to the left.  I had the setting in the camera by default because if you have ever looked at my artwork closely you will notice that I have a definite pattern of symmetrically mirror and repeating.  So with the camera set to automatically take pictures this way it saves me time processing images.

I step outside of my Brothers house to have a smoke (YES, I still smoke) and I immediately noticed that the light outside was different, it was oscillating very fast and was quite bright, it literally brought tears to my eyes.  Since I had been working on art all morning I was already vibration ally attuned to higher realms and my higher self.  I looked up into the light and could see the angelic beings and knew I could take a photo of them so I took out my phone and snapped these two photos, and here they are!

Buddhist texts describe the bodhisattva as an enlightened being who has chosen to remain in the samsaric world of suffering, the wheel of life, in order to help bring wisdom and happiness to all living creatures. This unreasonable vow distinguishes the mission and extends the intention of the bodhisattva beyond the limits of a single lifetime.  If one wishes to work with the bodhisattva intention, then one internally scrutinizes: "Is what I am doing solely for myself and my own benefit, or am I seeking to benefit as many beings as possible while attaining my own needs?" Can this altruistic motivation be applied to art without corrupting the internal freedom and creativity of the artist?" *
