What is it with people and boundaries? Yesterday a neighbor was building a fence when they thought someone was running through their yard. Then I went out to eat and had to ask a man if I could use his lot which was empty (car mechanic) and park my car so that I could go to a restaurant around the corner. There is no such thing as owning earth and there certainly should be no such thing as us being born and having to pay to be alive, taxes, rent, water, and even air through heat and cooling systems. In my area those that govern want to frack for oil and as their excuse, it will offer jobs. It will offer death of soil, unhealthy drinking resources and pollution. This is what they, call responsible drilling and what I call laziness. Solutions take thoughtful consideration, the short cut and easy way out is always for cowards. It isn't the time to relax our values, it is time to put into action a plan that will assist humanity. My daughter and I saw a man on a corner with a sign asking for a job and when I looked into eyes they were sincere and of despair. We stopped around the corner and gave him some money. I would have rather given him the means to take care of his future with a career however we did offer him hope and compassion without judgement. It is always the simple things that add up, it doesn't have to be grand gestures to stir the mass population. This is the healing secret of the ages. It begins in your own backyard. The power of faith is always rewarded. I leave coins everywhere hoping that someone in need will notice and recieve the gift. I do not have a great many resources but I am not hungry and I have a roof over my head and for that I am grateful. I do have friends that at times lend a helping hand so I do not have to be alone in my challenges.

Start a routine that makes you feel good before you jump start your day. I have a bowl of flat rocks from the ocean that I dump on the floor and walk over, it awakens my senses early on. Next I use my eyes to look sideways right and left several times and then up and down and then continuously up to the upper corner of my right eye, this is helful to thinking clearly. Then, I visualize someone I admire and remember the qualities that I would aspire to in the next few hours. Humming is a calming solution to a problem that you need to pause on. A parrot that is upset will nod its head several times up and down to create confidence and it works when people do that also. Wearing or thinking of people in a pink bubble help to erase worries. Clary Sage and Lemongrass oils together raise your mood endorphins. One to try is a lotion by Natures Gate. In the summer I work in group homes for challenged people and on any given day/same day, may be transferred to a different house.  I also may have to drive a huge van that doesn't corner well and drive up many steep hills.   One must remain flexible at every moment and just go with it.  This attitude bodes well as I remain calm and know I will figure it out if something comes along that I have no experience in.   More importantly is that by the end of the day there were a few surprises and my emotions would bubble up to be addressed.  The clients had brought out the best in me, and they were humbling.  Most of these people enjoy life unfolding even with their disabilities and aren't complainers. 

If there is a day of only watching television and they do not have outings they are accepting and laugh and smile.  These are the teachers of the world and it is not the other way around.  Blessings are in the mundane, I have learned.  Therefore be where you are and be who you are in the simplicity of love.   I was told tonight by a man that there are guys and then there are men.   The difference is great.  The measure of our growth is the way we respond to life and how compassionate we are to our neighbors and brothers and sisters.  I am so grateful that I interact with diverse people and views, they expand their warmth  and wrap me securely in it.   As you build your dream include others, for the sharing is what we came for.   A challenge is nothing more than a step forward in a new direction,  step lively….and enjoy.… Read the rest

I intend to copy all the articles from Nov 13th 2010 on, when I started to manage the postings on this site. This would take time. So I ask Dré to let this site to stay open until I have all my articles copied.
Only the articles will be copied, not the comments and not the shoutbox entries.
I have given Marc en Sherry new accounts on Lit Corner so they can continue their postings there.
I just hope my hosting company could deliver the expected quality as last night I had no connection with the site and their website, but in the morning it’s fixed. Let’s hope it only occur once.
