February 1, 2012 by Ruby Carat

UPDATE! – February 2 The NANOR used in the open MIT Demonstration is a ZrO2-PdD Cold Fusion/LANR solid state quantum electronic device – now ongoing for five days straight!

Jet Energy, Inc.“Cambridge, MA – The IAP Short Course (7 days) on Cold Fusion and Lattice Assisted Nuclear Reactions [at Massachusetts Institute of Technology MIT] has meticulously developed the salient point that skeptics of cold fusion were wrong, and that scientific theories do exist for understanding the difficult to achieve reactions.”Dr. Mitchell Swartz

Dr. Mitchell Swartz of JET Energy, Inc and Dr. Peter Hagelstein of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science collaborated on the Short Course, held between semesters, which offered students a full one-week introduction to the discipline of condensed matter nuclear science.

“January 30-31, 2012 – Cambridge, MA. – As part of the IAP Course on COLD FUSION at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dr. Mitchell Swartz, JET Energy, and Prof. Peter Hagelstein demonstrated cold fusion openly for scientists and engineers. The demonstration was a two day part of the detailed, yet overview, seven day course run by Prof. Hagelstein and Dr. Swartz, and followed the first open demonstrations of cold fusion at MIT since 2003. This JET Energy NANOR(TM) demonstrated a significant energy gain greater than 10, much larger than the previous open demonstration. This exhibition is also remarkable because it confirmed the role of the nanoengineered lattice in enabling the CF/LANR activity. It followed Prof. Hagelstein sharing his breakthrough explanatory theory of cold fusion during the first 5 days. The NANOR technology of JET Energy may have already begun to shatter a few preconceived notions of skeptics and cold fusioneers.”

Given the potential for new discoveries in this field, skilled scientists, engineers, and inventors in condensed matter nuclear science stand to be at the forefront in creating an entire new economy based on clean, abundant energy.

New jobs from a new industry will need an educated group to carry the development forward. Which institutions of higher learning will be the first to begin programs in this area?

Bachelor of Science Condensed Matter Nuclear Science, anyone?

PlasmERG Progressing Towards Noble Gas Engine Production

Lit Corner | December 7, 2011 | 7:43 AM

The Nevada based company, Inteligentry (PlasmERG), is moving forward towards the assembly of the first five production engines that hold the potential to produce massive amounts of power while consuming only tiny quantities of cheap Noble gases. These engines will hopefully confirm that the technology works as claimed.

Pure Energy Systems News

Over the course of multiple decades, Joseph Papp attempted to bring his Noble Gas Engine to the market place. A combination of extreme skepticism by outsiders, Papp's overly paranoid personality, legal battles, and a tragic accident during an important demonstration, prevented it from being utilized for the benefit of mankind. You can read about the history of the Papp engine in a previous featured article titled, "From Papp to PlasmERG: The Convoluted History of the Noble Gas Engine."  Now many years later, a company named PlasmERG (along with a sister company called Inteligentry who holds its intellectual property) is developing an improved and more advanced version of the technology. Despite the skepticism about the company's claims from potential competitors and other parties, as well as being called out for exaggerated claims about the extent of working prototype status, Inteligentry and PlasmERG are moving forward with their plans to introduce the technology to the world.

As a clarification for many of those who have been following this story, John Rohner now claims that Inteligentry (PlasmERG's sister company) has taken the lead in developing and pushing out the this technology. Inteligentry is headed by John Rohner. This can be a bit confusing, because of PlasmERG being the company developing and pushing this technology for so long. Personally, I also find the name Inteligentry a bit unclear, because it does not have anything to do with the technology. The "Plasm" part of the name "PlasmERG" at least resembles the term, "plasma." To prevent confusion, I wish they would have just stuck with the name PlasmERG, or allowed PlasmERG to take the lead. By switching from PlasmERG to Inteligentry, I think they are only going to confuse people.

Overview of the Technology

For those who are not familiar with this technology, a PlasmERG engine in some ways is similar to a conventional engine. Like the engine currently in your car, a PlasmERG engine has a cylinder, a piston, a crank shaft, and a head that contains electrodes. However, one big difference is that a PlasmERG engine does not utilize fossil fuels. Instead, it utilizes small amounts of gases that can either be Noble Gases, or other types of gases (such as hydrogen). Also, instead of these gases being burned in a traditional sense, a "plasmic transition process" takes place when they are exposed to radio frequency stimulation, and a high voltage "ball lightning". During this process, the gases in the cylinder expand, and push the piston. Also, external windings produce a magnetic field that interacts with the internal gases to control the shape of the "virtual cylinder" of expanding or contracting gas. When the high voltage and radio frequencies are turned off, the gases contract, and pulls the piston. This movement of the piston can be converted into torque to produce mechanical power, or used to turn a generator to produce electricity. Another big difference is that fuel is not continually injected into the piston, with exhaust exiting; but the piston is sealed off, to use the same environment for an extended period of time, such as many months. [See "how it works"]

By not burning conventional fossil fuels, a PlasmERG engine would not need a gasoline tank, oil pan, fuel filter, or many of the other components a typical engine needs. This would make producing a PlasmERG engine far cheaper than a conventional engine (once mass manufacturing begins). There would also be far fewer parts to break down, which would increase the reliability of the engine. Even more impressively, it would not require oxygen to operate. This means it would run in space (vacuum), or underwater. The engine also operates very quietly. It is said that blindfolded, it would be difficult to track down an engine in a room, if it was placed in a wooden box.

Most importantly, a PlasmERG engine only utilizes tiny amounts of fuel over an extend period of time. Perhaps only a few dollars worth of these gases could fuel an engine for many months, or even longer. The maximum lifespan of these gases are not known, because they are not "burnt" or "consumed" in a conventional sense. Also, the technology is safe, in that no radiation or pollution is emitted by the process. Engines utilizing this technology could replace traditional internal combustion engines, actuators, and electric motors. For example, like electric motors, they have a "flat" torque curve, in that all the torque is produced immediately -- unlike an internal combustion engine. Even better, one of these engines replacing an electric motor would not need a source of electricity from the grid to operate. Like in today's vehicles, an alternator can produce enough electricity to keep a battery charged, that can then be used to power the electrical components of the PlasmERG engine -- that are said to only consume a couple hundred watts of electricity. This is nothing, compared to the hundreds of horsepower these engines are claimed to be capable of producing.

Updates on PlasmERG's Progress

PESN has provided extensive coverage of PlasmERG and Inteligentry in the past. Our coverage led to multiple parties contacting us, and providing their opinion about the company and John Rohner, the founder of PlasmERG. Many of the individuals who contacted PESN were extremely skeptical of the claims that have been made about the technology. A few were even more cynical, and tried to convince us that PlasmERG had never built a running engine. They were doubtful a running engine had ever been constructed and successfully tested, despite the claims John Rohner had made in the past. Yet the opinion of others about PlasmERG were cautiously supportive. Perhaps the most perplexing contacts were those from multiple individuals who shared their own theory of how they believed (completely and wholeheartedly) the technology works.

Obviously, there are lots of opinions, theories, and feelings (positive and negative) floating around about PlasmERG, and the technology the company is developing. It is difficult to sort out everyone's true motivations, because it is a fact that Rohner has competitors (such as his brother) that continually attack him, and try to discredit the work he has done. I think the good news is that according to John Rohner, presently, progress is being made towards the construction of eight engines. The successful testing of these engines -- once John Rohner is ready to share the results -- should go a long way towards confirming the exciting claims that the company has made in the past. It might be a while (perhaps a few months) before a public demonstration of these engines takes place. PlasmERG wants to have inventory sitting on the shelves of a warehouse before a public demonstration is held.

The unwillingness to perform a demonstration of the technology immediately after the successful completion of these engines fits with PlasmERG current policy of secrecy. Rohner hopes to stay "off the radar" while these engines are being constructed, assembled, and tested. He is going so far as to not confirm or deny any of his previous statements about running engines. It also seems he does not mind if some of his antagonists are going around the internet, and saying that he has never built a working engine. This keeps public attention off of PlasmERG. Too much attention from the media or the public would only distract them from the work they are doing.

John Rohner sent us a couple emails with some updates, and he also answered several questions we sent in response. The following are several bits of new information he does not mind us sharing.

First, PlasmERG has obtained the funding they need to continue their work. At least a portion of the funding is probably coming from the sale of licenses to those who want to manufacture the engines, and from those who want to sell them to the public. Rohner indicates they have sold many such licenses. According to him, they may end up selling all available licenses very soon.

Secondly, according to the most recent email from Rohner, they are obtaining parts and are preparing to build five initial engines, which will all be training engines.

In a previous email he claimed that eight engines would be built. According to that email, two of them would have been test engines. These engines will be used to test fuel efficiency, power production, and verify refueling systems. One additional engine will be used to test the control electronics. The remaining engines will be used by engineers for additional testing, and by manufacturers to base their mass produced units on. In the recent email, Rohner wrote:

These are to be used as "training" engines. Engineers in our classes will cather the parts, build and debug their engine. Once running they will know not only the "Why" it runs but have the experience of knowing "How" it runs. That should make their task of creating new products and engines easier. These 5 are also the "proofs" for producability and also for production as ongoing "teaching" engines as we expect to go thru 15 of them a week in training.

Third, the first engines will be "lite" engines, because they will be limited to approximately 200HP. Of course, this is a huge amount of output for an engine with a displacement of about one liter of volume (in each cylinder). When these units are mass produced, manufacturers will be able to increase the strength of certain components (such as bearings and shafts) to allow for higher levels of power output.

Finally, they plan on inviting Sterling Allan for a visit to see a running engine. A couple months later, he will be allowed to report on it when PlasmERG, "goes public." I am assuming this means when licensed manufacturers have stock built up and when PlasmERG is ready to perform a public demonstration. According to the time table that Rohner is indicating, all of the above should be taking place in the fairly near term. My best understanding is that PlasmERG hopes to "go public" in a few months with the first engines assembled and tested before then.

PlasmERG Website Updates

If you go to the PlasmERG or Inteligentry website you can see that Rohner has posted pictures and 3D renderings of several components that have been made for the first eight engines. Interestingly, it is revealed that they are actually using a few Harley Davidson "Sportster" components, for the crankshaft and cone of the "lower end" of the engine.

On the same page, you will also see the windings that go around the cylinder, 3D printed molds, aluminum castings, and various other components. Apparently, they do not yet have all the components they need for the first eight engines, but they are in the process of being manufactured.

Encouragingly, all the parts are said to be "made in the USA." I find this to be refreshing, because we desperately need jobs in this nation. We have lost our manufacturing base, and we need to get it back.

I would rather buy an exotic energy device that is made here in the USA, than one from China!

Addressing the Cynics

The controversy around PlasmERG is something that frustrates me, because it is difficult to determine which parties are being bluntly honest, and which parties are pushing agendas -- perhaps because they are competitors -- or, in the case of Bob Rohner (his brother), simply hates John's guts, due to an extremely long feud. There are billions of dollars to potentially be made with this technology, and obviously there are other entities that want a piece of the action.

Despite the comments that some parties have made, I find it difficult to fathom that Rohner has never built a working engine. Communicating with him, he displays a keen knowledge of his systems, and the engineering issues that he has faced while developing them. Also, the accounts of the challenges he continually faces -- and overcomes -- during the development process seem realistic, and not something made up.

Although I think it is possible he may have exaggerated in the past about his progress, but for him to have never built a working engine would make him into something I cannot imagine him being -- a bold faced liar, and a master con-man. I just do not get that impression from him. He seems convincingly determined to get this technology developed and into the marketplace, to benefit all of mankind. I could be proven wrong about his claims of having built running engines in the past being true, but I doubt it.

It is also obvious that PlasmERG is seriously pushing hard to build the eight engines mentioned previously in this article. They have moved to Nevada, acquired a facility to do their work, and have spent money for custom made parts to be manufactured. To me, this is a positive sign that he is a serious researcher and developer. I also don't know of any other party that is even attempting to build full scale, working engines based on this technology. There may be parties out there with decades old hardware from the Papp era, or systems that can produce single pulses of power, such as what Heinz Klosterman demonstrates. But no one else seems to be building an actual newly designed engine, and prepping for it to enter into the market place. Until someone else comes and tries to do what Rohner is attempting, I think EVERYONE should give him credit for his effort -- regardless what they think he has accomplished with the engine in the past.

Lets Wait a Bit Longer

Delays in the energy field are never fun, and can be very, very frustrating. One reason they can be frustrating is because the world so desperately needs exotic new sources of clean, cheap, and safe energy. During the past year, it's obvious PlasmERG has experienced delays, but it is also clear they are still pushing forward. The delays were not intentional, and not of their own making. Even though we wish it could happen fast, product development (especially when many custom parts are needed) can take time.

I cannot say that I'm 100% convinced of all the claims that John Rohner of PlasmERG has made in the past. There is some amount of doubt in my mind, due to some statements that may have been exaggerations. However, I'm convinced they are working towards building real-world, working engines, and we should be thankful for their efforts.

Someone needs to seriously be pushing to develop Papp's technology. Right now, it seems PlasmERG (Inteligentry) is that company.

The next few months should tell us a lot. Let's try to wait a bit longer, and see what happens.

Once Again in the Top Five

It should also be noted that PlasmERG has been placed once again in the "Top Five Exotic Free Energy Technologies" in position #4. Once we have evidence of working, running engines, their status on the list will improve, probably to #1, even ahead of the E-Cat.

HHO Games Reports: Simplicity of Al Suarez HHO Kit Baffles

Lit Corner | November 28, 2011 | 7:08 AM

Here are a collection of follow-up reports from the HHO Games event held in Sarasota Spring, Florida last weekend: November 11-12. A highlight was A simple hydroxy kit that is cheap, easy to install, and purportedly gives significant improvement in mileage.

Pure Energy Systems News

CHANGING THE HHO PARADIGM BEYOND RECOGNITION

By Joe Shea

NOVEMBER 21, 2011, 8:40PM ET -- What I'm about to show you will challenge and even demolish everything you currently know and believe about HHO kits. What is being asserted by Al Suarez, the inventor - which is the caveat to everything else below - is that with this "kit," which is hardly big enough to be called a kit, you need no hoses, no bubbler and no reservoir, and the tablespoon of water and electrolyte inside it needs to be changed only once every 9 months. The hydrogen nozzle is designed to plug directly into the air intake behind the MAF sensor. It has no moving parts. It will not trip check-engine lights.

It uses at most (as on a 32-ft, 8.1-liter RV towing a Saturn) 1.5 amps of power, forever refuting the old skeptics' argument that HHO requires more energy to split water molecules than it provides as a hydrogen assist to the engine. And it sells for less than any HHO kit you can believe in - about $270, with a 1-year money-back guarantee. Here's what it looks like out of the box:

There is a downside: unlike a light bulb or a normal HHO kit, it doesn't start working as soon as you turn the engine on. You can drive 500 miles before you get a 2-3 MPG gain, and 1,000 miles before its full effects are apparent. Who's going to wait 1,000 miles for something to work? Well, truckers who drive 1,600-2,000 miles every two days, for one. For them, the kit is just an inch longer and half an inch wider than the normal one. Here's what it looks like when it's installed:

Let's be realistic. What we are talking about here is the proverbial "Plug 'n Play" HHO kit that all of us have been searching for since we begin this quest at the 2008 HHO Games. A lot of kits and kit-makers have come and gone since then, and in response the HHO Games themselves have shrunk even as the kits got better, cheaper and more accessible. With the kit described here, our search has ended (although Al says improvements will continue). It can nearly or more than double the gas mileage of a tiny 1.9-liter Saturn or a huge diesel 18-wheeler. It can be built by hand in 20 minutes. It can be installed by an experienced person in less than half an hour.

Walt Jenkins' Water-Powered Dune Buggy Wins 'Vehicle of the Year' Honors

NOVEMBER 17, 2011, 8:040PM ET -- The water-powered dune buggy that has become familiar to residents of Manatee County walked off with "Vehicle of the Year" honors at the Nov. 11-13 HHO Games & Exposition. It arrived at the Games with a burst of fanfare and immediately drew a crowd of curious fans. The car, owned by Walt Jenkins of Anna Maria Island, is a work in progress, Jenkins explained. A recent fire destroyed his wiring system a week before his promised appearance at the Games, and even after several late nights getting it fixed, problems arose again as he drove the dune buggy to the Games on Saturday afternoon. This time the problems were not so severe, and it arrived in good condition. The vehicle will sometimes require gasoline but is capable of getting up to 95% of its fuel from water alone, he said.

Al Suarez: 'This is Out of Control!'

NOVEMBER 15, 2011, 10:40 PM ET -- The HHO Games proved to be a make-or-break moment for Al Suarez of Cool Fuel in Tampa come Monday morning, when his phone started ringing off the hook with orders for his new kit, The Maraca. Al said he'd gotten 25 orders for the $270 kits in a single hour, and when I called him back he got 17 more calls as we were talking! I think the real reason is that his kit is the closest thing we've seen yet to the mythical "Plug 'n Play" device we started looking for at the very first HHO Games in 2008. We thought we'd seen it several times in the 7 succeeding events. Yet until Al's Maraca came along, with its estimated 9-month water supply sealed in a round 4-inch-high kit the size and shape of a softball, "Plug 'n Play" remained an elusive dream. Al's kit, if it's all it's cracked up to be, will deliver a 50% mileage improvement on a consistent basis, uses as little as 4 milliamps to power it, and connects via two thin wires and a small, 1/4" clear plastic hose to carry about a half-liter of mostly pure hydrogen to the air intake. I'm anxious to accept Al's latest invitation to come up to Tampa and take a closer look and a long test ride.

NOVEMBER 14, 2011, 9:40 PM ET -- The 8th HHO Games & Exposition came to an end Sunday with warm congratulations and some important new commercial and personal relationships. We were glad to make the acquaintance of people like Mike Holler, Steve Casella, Ron Hatton, Len Indianer, Brian Lamb, that big Irishman (Peter) and his wife, as well as Igor (from Canada), John Dayton, Jeff Albrecht, Richard Taylor, Patrick & Susan Gaddy, Josh and his Dad, Jeff Steele and his son Chris, Chuck Reithmeyer, Wim and his wionderful wife and kids, Ulf from Amsterdam, Gary Parsons from Florida Atlantic University, Steve Evangeles from Tarpon Springs, Jeremiah, Dixie, Julie Hatton and many more. Thank you all for coming and for making this such a nice, friendly and educational event! DAY 2 QUIETLY BRINGS BIG SURPRISES, GREAT TALKS!

NOVEMBER 13, 2011, 8:40 AM ET -- The big news came in on quiet shoes Saturday as fleet managers visited the HHO Games, with one German executive, CEO William Aust of Synergies, N.A., seeking as many as 50,000 kits from among the first-class vendors on display at the HHO Games on Saturday. Bill Gehrs of Florida Biodiesel, Inc., said "Friday was for the curious, the lookie-loos. Saturday the serious buyers came," he said, looking at big truck kits from Bill's shop, Florida Biodiesel, Inc., of Clearwater, from Ed Grimm and Scott Harlib's Global Hydrogen Technologies, Mike Kehrli's FuelSaver-MPG and Margate Hydro, among others. Al Suarez's amazing "Maraca" unit was an enigma to developers and a marvel to guests as it combined the reservoir and the kit in one small, round white unit not much bigger than a softball that can double an RV's mileage. The news coverage continued with a fine article in the Bradenton Herald and tv new coverage running Friday afternoon and evening and still running Saturday morning. Jeff Steele's talk on fuel management and Ron Hatton's harrowing account of a journey through the wild tangles of the EPA were also terrific. Perhaps the best of all was the special $10 Mike Holler seminar at Perkins Restaurant Saturday night, which ran over the alloted 3 hours and attracted 16 hard-core and very knowledgeble HHO enthusiastts including inventor Walt Jenkins of h2 Global, Ed Grimm of Global Hydrogen Technologies and Patrick Gaddy, P.E., who came with his wife, Susan, who has been a huge help to us by handling the admissions. We are very grateful to you, Susan. Mike's 83MPG 2008 Hyundai Sonata was the object of jealous and excited attention all day. Also there and contributing from his wealth of knowledge was Mark Praught, our HHO Games seminar coordinator. My favorite demonstration had nothing to do with HHO, although it had a lot to do with green savings: It was Joe Agostino's brief talk on the difference between a 60-watt ordinary bulb and a 63-watt LED. which easily produced 5 times more illumination than the ordinary bulb mounted right next to it and will last 50 tiems as long. As local officials toss millions in taxpayer money away on lighting schools and buildings and highways with inefficient bulbs, the demonstration really brought into focus the need - and the way - to save money in our tough economic times. If ever there was an effective demonstration, the easy contrast between the 2 bulbs was it! GET READY FOR HHO GAMES DAY 2!

NOVEMBER 12, 2011, 12:00 AM ET -- A terrific series of seminar presentations, more diplays and some top-notch installations - including by the renowned Al Suearez on RVs and Sealand Environmental's Mike Woolford on a semi-trailer tractor, along with Gadgetman Groove's continuing throttle-body mods - and a talk this afternoon by FuelSaver-MPG's Mike Kehrli of Portland, Ore., kick off Day 2 of the HHO Games at 9 a.m. at the Sarasota Classic Car Museum, 5500 North Tamiami Trail Sarasota, FL 34243, Tel. (941) 355-6228. Also there will be Jeff Steele to talk about upgrading our industry's data with his Global Marine Consulting fuel management system. Both Patrick Gaddy, representing Dr. Howard Phillips' revolutionary process for the unlimited production of hydrogen without electricity, and Len Indianer, author of "The H Factor" will appear. One of the world's foremost tuning experts, Mike Holler of Ecosceptor LLC and his 83MPG Hyundai Sonata are in the lineup. Holler will also offer a special post-Games seminar at 7:30 PM at Perkins Restaurant (in the Garden Room), right under the huge American flag north of the Museum at 60th St. in Bradenton. All-news SNN Channel 6 has been airing a report on the HHO Games all night after shooting it at mid-day. Thank you, SNN!

HHO Games Review

by Gary Parsons

The Games this Fall were held at the Antique Car Museum in Sarasota. This is a very interesting collection of automotive history (I went through there later and saw my 1st ever DeLorean!!). There were two main areas of this event. The first was a large meeting room which housed the speakers and the exhibitors. The outside was the second, a section of the museum’s parking lot which contained actual vehicles that were tweaked to run on water/hydrogen. There were 6-10 exhibitors there. They were displaying/selling devices to crack water, fuel additives/boosters, and a novel called the H factor (about an invention in the nick of time: As in A. Rossi perhaps?). The speakers talked at length about how their devices worked and how they installed them. Outside, other hobbyists demonstrated how their products were attached to their own car’s engines. Many of the exhibitors felt that they could actually go into production with a little backing.

One gentleman there was selling an HNNN based electrolyte as a fuel booster. Two or three others had actual water cracking devices to sell/demonstrate. Another had some fuel additives along with lots of Tesla-based literature and DVD’s. One table had hoses, tubes, clamps and other modification tools. The Gadgetman folks had a program to train the “newbie” to modify their engines. One lady had an ongoing cracking process for all to see.

This was a very interesting meeting, even though it was a bit smaller than I had expected. The speakers were quite knowledgeable, as were the exhibitors. The problem is that when the speakers held sway (which was most of the time), there was no real opportunity to talk to the exhibitors (actually, many of the speakers were also exhibitors). So, you had three areas of contact/learning: 1) you could listen to the Speakers, 2) you could talk to the exhibitors when possible and 3) you could talk to the out side exhibitors in the parking lot who have installed these devices and let you see them while they are explaining them. This is a meeting for serious people. Most attendees were folks who worked on cars a lot – or who really wanted to learn how. For those of us who never did much of that, the hows and whys of all this were a bit over one’s head.

Nevertheless, if you are the kind of person who likes to work on your own car, has the tools to do it and wants to make a dent in our energy problem, then this is the conference for you.

Rossi’s Home Sacrificed for Cold Fusion E-Cat Launch

Lit Corner | September 23, 2011 | 7:32 AM

Only several days ago, Andrea Rossi stated on his blog that he had big financial problems. Now he has revealed that these problems are resolved. To acquire the funds to insure the demo of the one megawatt plant takes place as planned, he has sold his house. The personal sacrifices he has made to bring the E-Cat (Energy Catalyzer) to the market are becoming heart wrenching.

Pure Energy Systems News

Andrea Rossi has developed a game changing technology named the E-Cat or "Energy Catalyzer." This technology utilizes nickel powder, hydrogen gas, and an undisclosed catalyst to produce vast amounts of thermal energy. The technology produces no pollution, emits no radiation into the environment, and provides the ability to produce almost limitless, dirt cheap energy. Simply put, utilizing this technology a few grams of nickel powder and a similar quantity of ordinary hydrogen gas, can replace many barrels of oil. Andrea Rossi has made many sacrifices to develop the E-Cat technology, but we have now learned he has made a sacrifice that truly pulls on the heart strings – the sale of his home.

Years ago, Andrea Rossi sold his stake in Leonardo Technologies Incorporated (not to be confused with his personal company, Leonardo Corporation) and other personal assets to raise the money needed to develop the E-Cat technology. Along with the funding he expected to receive from Defkalion Green Technologies Inc. (a company he is no longer associated with in anyway whatsoever), he expected to have enough funding to last through the launch of the one megawatt plant. However, due to Defkalion's breach of contract, and inability to make a scheduled payment, an additional source of funding was needed.

Now, only days after learning from a post on his blog that he had "big" financial problems, he has revealed to us that he has sold his house. This major personal sacrifice has been made to insure that the one megawatt plant can be completed and delivered on time for the demonstration with his partner company scheduled for the end of October.

The following post was made on his blog on September 16th, stating that he had "big" financial problems.

Andrea Rossi

Dear Pietro F:

Yes we have very big financial problems, because I have spent on this all the money I had, and sold all I had, also because the Customer we counted on could not maintain his financial engagements and this has left the ship in the middle of the ocean without oil for the engine. But we are going through, the 1 MW plant will be ready for the end of October for the test anyway, we are close.

Yes, we will organize e new very important test in Uppsala, and this time we will make the calorimetric measurements in a new way, suggested by the Professors: the steam circuit will be a closed circuit with a condenser and will exchange heat with a flow of liquid water: basically, we will have a primary circuit of the E-Cat and a secondary circuit through a radiator, and the energy will be calculated not from the delta T of the input/output of the reactor, but from the delta T of the secondary, which will exchange the heat by means of a heat exchanger. Of course the calculation of the energy produced will be in our disadvantage, because the heat exchange system has not a 100% efficiency, but I can accept it, because our energy gain is very high. The operation will be made also with self sustaining mode. We are already making this test in our factory, and the results of the energy gain are very close to the measurements we made in past. I am very satisfied.

Warm Regards,
A.R.

A previous version of this story was composed, and emailed to Andrea Rossi for his review. In particular, we asked if we might post a link where people could donate if they wanted. He responded by saying, "No, I absolutely do not want people to spend money. Do not worry, I have the money to finish the work. We do not have serious financial problems and I have all the finance necessary to do what I have to do."

Puzzled, we sent an email back, citing his September 16 blog post (above). He wrote back: "I have sold my house, now I have the money to finish the plant."

The fact that Andrea Rossi has sold his house clearly shows his steadfast dedication to his technology. His actions demonstrate that he is willing to do whatever it takes to bring the technology to the market, despite what personal sacrifices he must make. These acts of selflessness are not the actions of a scammer or conman, but those of someone who is dedicated to bringing about a better future for our species.

Andrea Rossi should be thanked for his willingness to make such significant personal sacrifices. Instead, skeptics and naysayers are still chattering on the internet, trying to grasp any imaginary straw they can, in order to find something they can use to try and tarnish his reputation. They are irrationally driven to try and discredit the technology at all costs. Thankfully, their days of being able to mock him are soon to be over. This is due to Rossi's upcoming demonstration of his one megawatt plant, a demonstration of a smaller system for home heating, a new calorimeter test of a closed system that will be performed at the University of Uppsala, and the announcement of his partner company – an entity that is stated to be an established and respected company. When these events take place in the near future, these pseudo-skeptics will be out of a job, because no one – even those sitting on the fence waiting for more information – will even take the time to read their nonsensical ramblings.

The New Partner Company

One of the most interesting revelations of the past few weeks is that Andrea Rossi has found a new partner company in the United States. He will be performing the demonstrations of the one megawatt system, and the smaller system for home use, for this company. When these systems are successfully demoed, he will receive a payment from the partner company. We do not know much about the identity of this partner company, but a few details have been revealed.

Perhaps one of the most interesting clues is that Rossi has stated the identity of the partner company will become obvious the moment the location of the demonstration is revealed. Those invited to the demonstration will receive a one week "heads up", but everyone else will only receive an advanced notice of one day. In addition, Rossi has stated this partner company is very credible and is serious about proliferating the technology. They are so serious they want to build one thousand one megawatt reactors across the United States.

Daniele Passerini of the 22 Passi blog has stated that he has been told the identity of the partner company from sources he trusts. It can be speculated that this source may be Dr. Levi of the University of Bologna, who is a close friend of his, and who is also an associate of Andrea Rossi. Here are the comments (in this post) that Daniele Passerini made about the partner company. Please note they are translated from Italian, so they are not as clear as we may have hoped.

Fortunately he found a new customer in the U.S. (if it's true what I was told, and I have no reason to doubt that is true, it is a very important customer, known and above all suspicion) that will pay Rossi upon delivery of the first 1 MW plant (working) in October. With that money Rossi will pay the University of Bologna. Rossi will deliver the E-Cat, and the search can begin.

Add that the American customer is NOT in any way as to be bamboozled. Add the test early September with that customer, which has been much talked about in here, and said that they had done in the U.S. at NASA, have actually been carried out in Bologna. Add that, from what I've been told, the test was successful: the American customer is satisfied and does not doubt that the E-Cat represents a new source of energy and not a scam, and I repeat is NOT a customer to be bamboozled in any way.

Mats Lewan made his video after the test with the American customer had already been concluded (again positively).

Please note the key phrase, "is NOT a customer to be bamboozled in any way." This is a critical sentence, which makes it clear that the partner company must be an established, experienced, and technically savvy company. My guess is that if they want to build a thousand, one megawatt reactors across the United States, and their identity is associated with a particular city, the world will be stunned when their association with Rossi is revealed. Their validation of the E-Cat technology (along with the upcoming new test in Uppsala), might be what pushes the news of nickel hydrogen fusion into the mainstream.

Significance of Self Sustained Test in Uppsala

Now we just have to wait and see what happens over the next month, as the demo of the one megawatt system approaches. Before that time, we may get a few surprises, including the new test of a closed E-Cat system performed by the University of Uppsala. This test should be quite convincing, because it will eliminate the non-issues (that the skeptics like to harp about) of phase change, steam dryness, and the amount of liquid water coming out of the system they claim is not condensed steam. In this test, the heat produced by the system will turn water into steam, allow the steam to change back into water, and the water will be re-used. A heat exchanger will be utilized, to allow the heat from this closed system to increase the temperature of a second container of water. In addition, operation in self sustain mode (no input power going to the resistance heaters) will be demonstrated.

The self sustaining mode of operation was demonstrated in the recent test of a new model of E-Cat performed by Mats Lewan of NyTeknik, but very strangely the test was requested to be terminated only after 35 minutes of operation in this mode.

Hopefully, in this upcoming test, the system will be allowed to operate in self sustain mode – without any input power – for as long as it can continue producing heat. During this time period, we will probably see cyclic variations in the heat produced by the system. This is very important, because if the test shows the heat being produced by the system INCREASING after previously decreasing, this would totally rule out the arguments of the skeptics. They claim the heat exhibited in self sustain mode is due to the "thermal inertia" of the system. This is the idea that the stored heat in the materials is enough to keep producing heat for a period of time. However, for this to be true (which it is not), the temperature of the system must continually decrease, to abide by the principle of entropy. If the system increases in temperature, it would represent a "reverse thermal inertia" which is impossible – unless something exotic like cold fusion is taking place.

So to anyone who is involved in the test who is reading this..

PLEASE LET THE PERIOD OF SELF SUSTAIN MODE WITH NO INPUT POWER CONTINUE FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE, UNTIL THE REACTIONS CEASE.

If the above is allowed to take place, it will be the last straw of evidence that breaks the back of the hardcore pseudo-skeptics. It will also convince all of the honest skeptics who have been "sitting on the fence" and have simply been waiting for more information.

Thank You Mr. Rossi

I would personally like to thank Mr. Andrea Rossi for all the personal sacrifices of time, money, and personal property he has made to bring this technology to the marketplace. If there is a form of karma in the universe -- that rewards those who make sacrifices for others -- I hope that he is rewarded beyond measure.

Cold Fusion Steams Ahead at World’s Oldest University

Lit Corner | March 11, 2011 | 10:18 AM

Progress accelerates as a year long study of Andrea Rossi's Nickel-Hydrogen Cold Fusion technology (energy catalyzer) at the University of Bologna is announced. The birthplace of higher education has become the developmental womb for a game changing technology!

by Hank Mills with Italian translation editing help from Sepp Hasslberger
Pure Energy Systems News

The saga of Andrea Rossi's Nickel-Hydrogen Cold Fusion technology is only accelerating and not slowing down. Physicists are warming up to the technology, new calorimeter tests are forthcoming, media announcements are on the way, and a year long testing program at the University of Bologna has started. With a demonstration of the one megawatt system in the USA in the works (before it is shipped to Europe) and the opening of the one megawatt plant in Greece by late this October things are only going to keep moving faster.

Let's get down to business. We have some ground to cover!

One Year Research and Development Program

Andrea Rossi has announced a one year program is starting at the University of Bologna to study his cold fusion (LENR) technology. Apparently, this is happening as we speak. Here is the quote from his blog. (slightly edited)

Dear Renaissance Man:
Thank you for your kind blessing. I always appreciate it. I need it.
We are now doing R&D work with the University of Bologna. It will last one year, during which we will make through tests. The results will be published at the end of the research. In the meantime, we will start up our plant of 1 MW we have to deliver to our Customer in Greece. After that, our product will be in the market.
Warm Regards,
A.R.

This is very good news. It indicates that the University of Bologna is taking his technology seriously. This should be the case since the most recent publicized test of his technology produced a minimum of 15 kilowatts of continual thermal output for 18 hours with only an average of 80 watts of input (sometimes as low as twenty). Thankfully, Dr. Levi who was one of the independent scientists who witnessed this experiment is planning to report on upcoming experiments (which may be happening as you are reading this). The following is Levi's statement.

"No official reports will be issued about this experiment. But we will report on upcoming experiments soon to be performed in cooperation with the University of Bologna's physics department." (Ref.)

A Few Tidbits of Over-looked News

We have another source of information on this team-up between the oldest university in the world and Andrea Rossi. An Italian journalist/blogger named Daniel Passerini, who has blogged extensively about the E-Cat (Energy Catalyzer) technology, and has interviewed Andrea Rossi multiple times, had the opportunity to visit the University of Bologna and see the device in operation, and seems to have a line of communication with many of the people involved in this saga. If you look at the comments on his blog you will see he has released many important bits of information that have not been broadly discussed. The following are a few of his statements.

"Friends, the precise contents of the research contract between the University of Bologna and Rossi, will be known soon as the parties will make it public. When that happens I will give wide coverage here on the blog." (Passi)

"Just wait a couple of weeks - there will be some announcements that will comfort those who are hoping the E-Cat is real but they will not please those who think it may prove to be a hoax." In response to a question about the nature of the announcements he states... "Experimental in nature, that is linked to experimentation." (Passi.)

"There are a lot of people around now who saw it, and not only in Italy. (The one seen in Bologna it's not the only E-Cat around). Obviously I do not have any credibility in your eyes, but I assure you that according to the information I have it is much more than a hoax. In mid-March there will be a couple of news (and I plan to give them first or among the first) to be a great blow to all the "doubters" which now have much on which to ruminate! And you do not know how much I would like to tell you now already. But as I said earlier, if this blog has had (and still has) the chance to scoop this story, it is because I have shown my informer that I am able to keep his confidences. Now, given all the controversy going, the announcements are made moments before, not weeks before, to avoid certain chaos. But then again, in mid-March there will be a couple of interesting news and then ... finally we start with real experiments!" (Passi.)

The above indicates that in the near future there should be more test data published and the exact nature of the one year research program should be revealed. One can speculate about what test data might be revealed next. In a recent post, Rossi revealed that his system produces mostly low energy gamma rays. Previously, he mentioned they would be releasing more information about the exact nature of the radiation produced inside of his device (which the 2cm of lead shielding prevents from escaping). Could he finally reveal some detailed measurements of this radiation? This could provide even more proof (along with the fact that only a nuclear reaction could produce the amount of energy the E-Cat generates) that the reaction is nuclear and not chemical.

Perhaps the upcoming announcements and tests will mention the new control system Rossi has mentioned on his blog recently. (slightly edited)

Dear Alex,
I thank you very much for your suggestion. Actually, you are right, our control panel needed upgrading. The new control systems for our reactors will be designed by the same Company who designed the control systems of CERN’s Collider: the new control systems will be designed in the context of the R&D program we have with the University of Bologna. But please send me a link to find a presentation of your work, so that I can understand if we can cooperate. I always study with attention the potential partners.
Warm regards,
Andrea

Regardless what the announcements might be, it looks like March is going to be a busy month!

Skepticism Eases and Optimism Grows

There have been several supportive statements made by various individuals about Rossi's E-Cat technology in the past couple of weeks. Optimism seems to be growing. Here are a few samples.

Cold Fusion

Recently, in Bologna, there was a demonstration of energy production probably from nuclear-temperature environment. The result was a power output, and monitored continuously, twenty times higher than that released for operation. The inventor of the method (referred to as "catalytic power") is the engineer, Andrea Rossi; while the measurements and theoretical studies have been carried out by the team led by prof. Sergio Focardi, and coordinated by prof. Giuseppe Levi, both of the Department of Physics, University of Bologna, in collaboration with the INFN Bologna. I will not elaborate on details, but I think it's useful for those who frequent the forum to have this news, which was already disclosed by the Carlino and local editions of other newspapers (including the CDS). The doubts about the origin of this emission of energy (in the shape and thermal absolutely "clean") are not completely excluded, but if the tests will lead to confirmation, the catalyst of energy would be the ultimate solution to the energy problem. I think the public should start to talk and to be involved: this is the only way to avoid a "cover up" by the powerful current and potential exploiters of energy for military purposes (which in the past seems to have been the case about cold fusion). At the same time, the interest of public opinion through the media can stimulate public and private institutions to invest some money in this research, which has so far been carried out on a shoestring budget. The other advantage would be to get a certified and unequivocal demonstration of reliability, efficiency and safety of use by independent researchers, and subjected to public scrutiny.

Regards and best wishes - my fingers are crossed.
Loris Ferrari

Associate Professor on the Structure of Matter, Associate Professor of Physics and Astronomy
Department of Physics, University of Bologna. (Corriere.it)

"Well, I think they used a fairly scientific approach. But above all that, they have heated a building and have done so for one year (according to Rossi), and have run the experiment for ten hours without any electricity other than 80 watts to power the instruments (the most recent experiment in Bologna on 10-11 February)."

" Previously, all problems of cold fusion have been that it was intermittent, it worked for a while and then stopped. But this time it seems that they have continuous (power), and have attained consistent results in repeated tests. That also makes it interesting. "

"I have the impression that Rossi is serious. I think he is an interesting person to talk to, and I find it hard to imagine that he has masterminded a scam."

Sven Kullander, Professor Emeritus at Uppsala University and chairman of the Energy Committee of the National Academy of Sciences (Passi)

"Yeah, this area of research has long suffered from similar incidents. But what I felt different this time is that another physicist, Giuseppe Levi, was allowed to test the process independently, by measuring the input power and output."

"And it seems replicable. And there's a device. It has now been tested for a longer time. This is a big difference that seems crucial."

"It seems very unlikely that it is a pure fraud."

Hanno Essen, associate professor of Theoretical Physics and a lecturer at the Swedish Royal Institute of Technology and chairman of the Swedish Skeptics Society (Passi)

Here is a video of the above two scientists, Professor Sven Kullander and Associate Professor Hanno Essen discussing Rossi's technology with a reporter from Ny Teknik.

“We’ve arrived. It’s interesting we’ve arrived in a different car than we thought we were. Cold fusion started out using deuterium and palladium, and then Rossi found that it worked quite well in nickel and light hydrogen.”

Of course, he’s taking orders, and I’m sure there’ll be people from all over the world, where regulations are not so quite severe, and minds are more open than they are here, and they’ll buy units, and put them in their factories; and suddenly, the cost of energy to those companies will go down significantly, and all of a sudden people will panic, and then there’ll be a stampede to buy these things.”

Dr. Edmund Storms, cold fusion researcher and author of “The Science of Low-Energy Nuclear Reactions." (Cold Fusion Now)

“Now that I have seen the device work for so many hours, in my view all chemical energy sources are excluded.”

Dr. Giuseppe Levi, Physicist from the University of Bologna (Ny Teknik)

The reality of this exotic new technology seems to be sinking into the minds of many. Fewer individuals seem to be screaming "hoax" or "fraud." More people seem to be accepting the fact that all the evidence so far indicates this technology is real and potentially game-changing. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi once stated, "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win." I wonder what stage cold fusion technology is at right now. Could it be that we are near the last stage?

A Potential Replication - The Race Could Be On!

On a related note, Jed Rothwell, who has contacts throughout the "cold fusion" or LENR community, has reported that an outside group has had some success replicating the E-Cat (Energy Catalyzer).

"It isn't all that secret. I have known that it is Ni-H cold fusion for a year; and people in Italy have known for 2 years. Groups there and in the U.S. are working somewhat frantically to determine what the other 2 elements
are. One of them told me that they have achieved the equivalent of 800 W per liter of powder (with a smaller actual volume), which is not far from what Rossi reported."

A Demonstration in the USA

In the past Andrea Rossi has stated that there would be no additional public demos until the one megawatt plant opened in Greece. However, this may no longer be the plan. Jed Rothwell who runs the LENR-CANR website (which is an online database of cold fusion information) and is a long time and well trusted cold fusion researcher has reported the following news: "Rossi told me he will demonstrate the device before shipping it to Greece."

If a demonstration is held in the USA it will probably be in Florida, because the 125 modules that will compose the 1MW plant are being manufactured in Miami, Florida. Rossi also has a factory and lab in New Hampshire, but it would not make sense to ship all 125 units twice (if the demonstration in the USA would be of the complete 1MW system).

In addition to being exciting, a demonstration could potentially create a very interesting situation that could be a win-win for Rossi. A demonstration of a 1MW system would be very impressive and difficult to deny as being something extraordinary. However, there has been speculation that it might be very difficult for him to get approval to use his reactors in the USA due to safety concerns. What if the Nuclear Regulatory Commission or another agency tried to come in and stop the demo? That could be a win for Rossi, because they would have to admit they were concerned about the exotic nature of his technology. If the NRC stepped in they would be forced to admit that the E-Cat is indeed a NUCLEAR and NON-CHEMICAL technology! Otherwise, they would have no jurisdiction. The NRC has no power to regulate performing tests of chemical reactions involving nickel and hydrogen. Any interference could equal instant validation!

Time Frame for Implementation Everywhere

The world needs this technology ASAP. We actually needed it many years ago. So how soon can we expect this technology to "get out there" and actually start making a difference. To start with, I think the aspects of this technology that would facilitate rapid dispersion and implementation should be listed.

1) High power density - A minimum of 15KW of constant thermal output from a reactor with a volume of one liter is tremendously impressive. This can go even higher (up to 130KW or more), but that produces safety concerns. Even with the added equipment needed to produce electricity, that kind of power density would allow for a lot of energy to be produced in a small area. That small area could provide power for a large area such as a factory, community, or city.

2) Cheap Fuel - In this system it is claimed that one gram of nickel powder can produce as much energy as burning 500 barrels of oil. (Ref) Nickel is very common in the Earth's crust and is not expensive (as of the time this article is written the price is about 14 dollars a pound). Basically, the fuel cost of nickel would be very low. The cost of hydrogen would be almost zero due to the fact you could use a fraction of the energy output to produce your own from ordinary water. The catalysts are also supposed to be dirt cheap. The economics of this system cannot be beaten by any other mainstream technology.

3) Easy and Cheap Construction - The reactor is not complicated. It is probably much simpler than an internal combustion engine. From what we have been told, it is constructed out of ordinary materials using ordinary methods. There is nothing exotic about the construction of the device itself. The only thing exotic is the fusion reaction that takes place. Mass manufacture of the reactors would probably be much easier than setting up a plant to produce millions of a new automobile engine.

The above three aspects of the technology are big boosts towards rapid implementation. However, there are also reasons why implementation may not progress rapidly everywhere. Here are a few of them.

1) Radiation - Rossi claims that no radiation escapes the two centimeters of lead shielding. However, the very fact that it produces radiation could scare some people and could make certain governments jump to heavily regulate the technology. I think the USA is a place where that might occur due to the fact many citizens here are willing to give up everything (including personal freedoms and dignity in airports) in the name of safety. The good news is that many other areas of the world such as China would probably have more common sense regulations that would allow for this technology to be quickly implemented in their nation. Once that happens the USA would be forced to relax their rules or be quickly left behind.

2) Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt (FUD) - Cold Fusion has been around for twenty years, but the world does not accept that it exists at this moment. When the world suddenly recognizes it exists, certain pundits, media personalities, and politicians will try to explore every possible negative aspect of it. Someone will be bound to try and claim a "dirty bomb" could be built with it and used by terrorists (even though that is impossible because there is no radioactivity remaining in the device only minutes after it is turned off.) Because it is so "new" some of these individuals will actually spread fear of cold fusion. The fact of the matter is though in our current global economic situation many nations including the USA will not have any other choice but to start utilizing the technology.

3) Not Open Source [Yet] - Andrea Rossi and Defkalion Green Technologies control this technology at the moment. No one but them and perhaps a few other business partners have knowledge of the catalysts that allow this system to produce a practical amount of heat. Because of this an open source development movement to develop and utilize the technology cannot begin. Hopefully, when the patent application covering the catalysts is approved, an open source project will be organized that would help people replicate the technology for themselves in a safe and low risk way. [Editor's note: a superior alternative to patents, that we announced today, the Intellectual Passport, could satisfy Rossi and his team's need for intellectual property protection.] I think a set of plans that stress safety precautions would be much more preferable than just having every amateur experimenter building their own version of the reactor with various levels of safety precautions.

Overall, I think the favorable aspects of this technology will win out; and once the 1MW plant is opened and the patent is granted [or an Intellectual Passport is filed instead], it will spread quickly. The truth of the amazing potential of this technology will win out in the end. My guess is in five years it will start having a significant impact reducing the use of fossil fuels. In ten years I think the price of oil will start to come down dramatically as less vehicles will be using gasoline. I think we can accelerate this process if an open source movement organizes quickly when the missing details of this technology (catalysts and other details we are lacking) emerge.

Alma Mater Studiorum

The University of Bologna was founded in 1088. It has literally been a center of higher learning for almost a thousand years. It's motto, "Alma mater Studiorum". which when translated from the the Latin means "fostering mother of studies." It seems appropriate to me that the world's first *almost* free (or really cheap), clean, and plentiful energy technology is being studied there.

In the weeks and months to come, we will likely witness an acceleration of news and information coming from the University of Bologna.

Exciting times are ahead.

Correspondence from Rossi

The following correspondence arrived after the above was published.

From: "Andrea Rossi - Leonardo Corp."
To: "Sterling Allan"
Sent: Monday, March 07, 2011 11:52 PM [MST]
Subject: Re: Invite to Rossi to join me on Free Energy Now show (phone interview)

Dear Mr. Allan,

I am sorry to inform you that I prefer not to make interviews until October , when we will start up our 1 MW plant.

Therefore I kindly ask you to defer our contact to the end of November. I will only make an interview to an European radio because I already got this engagement a month ago, but that will be my last communication before end October, unless I will have something new to communicate. I prefer to work and not talk, until I start the industrial production and operation of my plants.

Nothing is in program for March, but our regular work for our Customer, which I am doing 16 hours per day and nothing new I have to communicate until end October.

I thank you anyway for your attention, and I am sure you will not have a lack of talkers in this field, that, when it turns to talk, is very densely populated of highly educated persons. [...]

Warmest regards,

Andrea Rossi

In any case, please read hereunder the answers to your questions, if they can be useful to you:

[...]

> Some of the questions I typically ask are: > > - How does the technology work (overview)?

PLEASE SEE THE FOCARDI-ROSSI PAPER ON WWW.JOURNAL-OF-NUCLEAR-PHYSICS.COM IT IS IMPOSSIBLE RESUME IN FEW WORDS

> - Where are you in the process of implementing it commercially?

BY THE END OF OCTOBER WE START UP OUR FIRST 1 MW PLANT

> - What kind of data have you accumulated?

PLEASE SEE THE REPORT OF OUR TESTS ON THE SAME JOURNAL OF ABOVE

> - Independently tested?

BY THE UNIVERSITY OF BOLOGNA, WHICH IS CONTINUING THE TESTS FOR AN R&D PROGRAM WHICH WILL LAST ONE YEAR

> - What price point do you expect to start out at in terms of cents/kw-h?

1 CENT PER kWh

> - How much might this price change in the next 5 years?

I DO NOT THINK IT WILL CHANGE MORE, IN PERCENTAGE, THAN THE AVERAGE OF THE LIFE

> - How does your technology compare to others like it out there?

I DO NOT COMPARE, IT IS NOT UP TO ME. SO FAR, ANYWAY, I DO NOT SEE COMPETITORS ON THE MARKET, IF THE MARKET IS INTENDED AS A PLACE WHERE REACTOR ARE GOING TO WORK INDUSTRIALLY

> - What are its strengths?

GOOD EFFICIENCY

> - Weaknesses?

NECESSITY OF USING SMALL MODULES CONNECTED TOGETHER TO MAINTAIN TOTAL SAFETY AND SECURITY. WE NEED MORE EXPERIENCE TO SCALE UP THE SINGLE MODULES, WE ARE WORKING ON IT WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF BOLOGNA

> - How might someone invest in the company?

FOR NOW WE PREFER NOT TO HAVE INVESTORS. WE FINANCE OURSELVES SELLING OUR PLANTS

> - How can someone purchase a unit?

WE WILL START THE SALES IN NOVEMBER, AFTER THE FIRST PLANT OF 1 MW WILL BE IN OPERATION. YOU ARE AUTHORIZED TO PUBLISH THE ANSWERS ABOVE.
WARM REGARDS,

Steorn’s Orbo — From Permanent Magnets to Solid State Systems

Lit Corner | February 26, 2011 | 9:54 AM

Steorn is a small company based in Dublin, Ireland. For most of the past decade they have been working on ways of producing energy via the interaction of magnetic fields. They have been ridiculed and attacked, but it seems Steorn is moving forward with their Orbo technology.

for Pure Energy Systems News

CLaNZeR's replication of Steorn's PM-Orbo Asymmetric Non-linear MH setup.

Steorn's Orbo technology was publicly launched with a cannonball splash in August of 2006 when the put a full-page ad in the Economist stating that they had a free energy device that would revolutionize the energy industry. (Ref.)

At the heart of the technology was what they claimed to be a start/stop system that utilized magnetic paths that were not always circular to produce gains of energy. This technology was discussed on their now offline public forum (which has been replaced with the SKDB lite). It was claimed this technology had a power density of .5 watts per cc. As debate and discussion grew, Steorn continued to develop this technology using only permanent magnets.

A boost to their credibility came in August, 2007 from a video that emerged of Mr. Knapen of Kinetron claiming that he had tested the technology and it worked. He called the technology a miracle. In addition, he demonstrated a small device called the "K-Toy." This device demonstrated Steorn's start/stop magnetic effect. It consisted of a small vertical rotor with one weight on each side. The rotor held two magnets. There was a platform in front of the rotor with a magnetic material hidden in epoxy. When the device was triggered, the fall of the small weight would cause a larger weight to lift.

Permanent Magnets and Magnetic Viscosity

At one point, the CEO of Steorn Sean McCarthy, who frequently posted on their public forum, disclosed the existence of a "constant motion" version of their technology. The claimed advantages of this technology included: fewer parts, more interactions per second, no need to start/stop, and higher levels of energy gain. Eventually, it was disclosed that magnetic viscosity was involved.

Magnetic viscosity is the time it takes for the domains of a magnetic material to respond to the magnetic field of another magnetic material. This lag time can range in seconds for some materials and nanoseconds in others. Ways of possibly utilizing magnetic viscosity to gain here were debated; but before long, a private area called the SPDC (Steorn Private Developers Club) was created. To gain more information about Steorn's technology you could sign an NDA and join for free.

Before long a demonstration of their constant motion technology was announced. It would be held at the Kinetica Museum in London, England on July 4, 2007. Forum members from around the world traveled to attend this demonstration. However, the demo did not happen. (Ref.) Apparently, the bearings of their device failed. Some time after the failure of the Kinetica demo, the SPDC transformed into the SKDB (Steorn Knowledge Development Base).

E-Orbo Launched in Dublin

Time passed and Steorn announced that a demonstration of an electromagnetic version of Orbo technology would be held at the Waterways Center in Dublin, Ireland. Multiple demonstrations of their technology took place. (Ref | 2 | 3)  They were video taped and posted to their Youtube channel.

The E-Orbo technology worked by producing torque on a rotor without producing Back-EMF. This allowed the stator magnets to be pulsed without any energy being transferred from them to the rotor. All the motion of the rotor was thermodynamically free. In addition, the stators (toroids were used) experienced an induction gain during their interaction with the rotor magnets. This was another way the system produced a gain of energy.

Apparently, most people in the world were not too impressed with the E-Orbo technology. This is tragic, because if it really did produce torque without Back-EMF that would automatically represent a free energy technology. Back-EMF works against efficiency in normal electromagnetic motors, and is usually considered a inescapable reality..

In addition to holding the demonstration Steorn posted their own calorimeter data on their website. They had built their own calorimeter and placed an E-Orbo inside of it. The tests demonstrated a clear gain of energy in the form of heat. (Ref.)

Improved PM Orbo?

Information about another version of their technology that only used permanent magnets was also posted. This version of their technology did not utilize magnetic viscosity, but worked by manipulating the BH curve of magnetic materials.

Notice the use of neodymium magnet to bias a ferrite.

There are replication attempts of this version of their technology taking place now.

Here is a video of CLaNZeR's replication of Steorn's PM-Orbo Asymmetric Non-linear MH setup:

Solid State Orbo

In more recent times Steorn has announced the development of a solid state version of their technology. Their website states...

"Solid State Orbo is the latest physical implementation of the Orbo technology platform. Solid State has numerous advantages over previous implementations. The fact that the Solid State version has no moving parts lowers the costs and reduces the time-frame for developers wishing to replicate the core effect. Testing is greatly simplified too; the only test equipment required is a simple digital oscilloscope.

"Solid State Orbo gains energy via control of a material's inductance and domain rotation. As with all previous implementations of Orbo, these material permeability effects are fundamental to the production of an energy gain.

"Although Solid State Orbo is in the early stages of development, rapid progress is being made with regards to optimisation. For this reason, it forms the basis of the Steorn Knowledge Development Base."

The prospect of a solid state version of their technology is exciting. There would be no need to convert the kinetic energy of the rotor into electricity. You could directly power a device with the electricity produced. Also, if solid state devices are possible what is the power density? Could it exceed .5 watts per cc?

So where is Steorn going from here?

This is the question that needs to be asked. Apparently, they have produced several different systems ranging from purely permanent magnet technology, to electromagnetic systems, and solid state systems that produce free energy. This is an amazing accomplishment. How long will it take for the world to notice? Perhaps the most important question is what can Steorn do to make the world notice?

If their technology is as legitimate as they claim Steorn's technology will revolutionize energy production. The fact they developed it under the noses of the entire world will be a huge news story. Perhaps those who have attacked the company will recant.

Let's wait and see what happens.

HEAVEN #3661 Here Comes Your Love

snoedel.moorelife.nl | December 5, 2010 | 6:05 AM
God said:

Love does not mean dependence. Your love is to set others free and yourself as well. Love does not bind. It does not bind the other nor does it bind you. You are not a prisoner of love. You are a fulfiller of love. You are the responder and receiver of love.

Love calls to you and meets itself within your heart. Love resides in the heart at the very moment it is given. Love is multi-directioned. It is not hoarded, nor is it frivolous. Love goes beyond borders. Love has no borders unless you make them up. Love does not say, “This far, and no further.”

Some minds tell the heart where it can love and where it cannot love. Have you ever heard of anything so foolish? Love, by its very nature, is unbounded. There are no exceptions. Love does not walk down narrow aisles. Love does not say: “I will go here, but not there.” Love is bigger than that. Love is bigger than anything. We are talking about love beyond physical attraction. Let your love be attracted everywhere. Love is not a nit-picker. Love is for all. Love is a way of being. You are love, and love goes everywhere and sees love everywhere. Love loves the lovely, and love loves the so-called unlovely. Love is a condition of your heart.

Love does not stand back. Love does not wait for permission. Love is like a lovely mist that falls everywhere.

By your very presence, hearts are stirred. You do not stir hearts, yet they are stirred by your love. You pass through others’ lives, and they are stirred by your love. Your love emboldens them. Here comes your love. It is rushing to and fro right now.

Love does not depart. It embraces. It embraces on a silent level. Love does not have to put its arms around anyone. By its very nature, love embraces. A hug is nice, but it is nothing next to love that needs no demonstration, love that just has to be allowed to be.

Love is not meant to be dependent upon your thoughts. Love is not a snare that traps you. There is bigger love than personal love. Personal love is practice for universal love. The Great Ones simply loved. They loved all. They did not bill and coo love. They loved. The way a flower reveals its sweet scent, the Great Ones revealed their love. Love is bigger than life. You are bigger than life.

Let love be, and laugh.

Love in the world searches for Oneness. Everyone wants Oneness. Everyone craves it. Love is not out there, beloveds. That is not where you find it. You find it within yourself. The sunshine of love dwells within you. And the sun shines on all.

You have had glimpses of love. You have had glimpses of Oneness. Now you are going to see more love, feel more love. You are going to let love out. You will not be a sponge of love. You will be a giver of love. You will stand tall and give love wherever you are and whatever you are doing. You are simply going to shine your love everywhere. And the sun is going to shine on you, beloveds. It already is. You would not be here unless the sun has been shining on you.

You are at a beautiful place now. You are on the verge of love, and you are going to go all the way with love. You will not have to hold onto banisters. Your love will fly free. As it flies free from you, you are exalted. Love rises to Heaven, and you are risen.
