I had it made already, so I figured I’d comment on going to upload the new header image in the next ten minutes:

But I should not have forgotten that my particular cosmos is still ruled by Murphy, intent on obstructing anything creative I attempt to do. So after the comment, I spent the next seventeen minutes trying to find back where I’d changed that header image the last time. Weblog settings? Nope, three screens of attributes with various degrees of clarity, but nothing as simple as a header image setting. Same for the templates: readable allright, but nothing that referred to a JPG file in any way. In the end I found it hidden in a CSS style sheet, and it looked simple enough…..

Wrong again: changing the setting to the new filename resulted in an empty header, no matter what I tried. The image is there, as you can see, but somehow the header just won’t accept it!

Well, I guess it doesn’t matter if you call him Murphy or Your Higher Self, but somebody is obviously trying to tell me its not time yet.… Read the rest

Any negative pattern that you’ve experienced
consists of
Individual thoughts that look like little vibrating microscopic globes,
like the nuclei of atoms. These atoms are right next to your body, each
connected by a magnetic bond to you. The bond is your attachment to the
ideas you hold about yourself, your life, and your patterns. ANY
reoccurring pattern you’ve experienced in your life is a result of these
atom-like globes around your body.

The angels showed me that
the universal energies are like a blanket of pure clean snow. Snow falls
equally everywhere that it lands, yet it takes on shape and form based
upon the landscape upon which it falls. So if snow falls upon a rocky
terrain, then that’s the shape that the snow will appear if snow falls
upon a smooth landscape, then the blanket of snow will appear smooth.

Having a coffee just now after having done the dishes, and spending almost an hour on cleaning the toilet (including the little room it is in), I came to consider that Service to Self sucks bigtime! Not only must you find a selfish based reason to justify each and every one of your actions, but that also goes for the actions that need doing, but where you have no incentive to do them for yourself…..

Let’s take cleaning the toilet for one: I’m not overly hygienophobic (or whatever the word is): Others will talk about the state of my toilet before I even feel a need to clean it up. I’m not a dirty old man, just not that panicky about germs, because I don’t believe their reputation of being there to make us sick. There are for instance plenty of examples where germs actually clean up polluted water…

But hey, back to the toilet: imagine that the above one needs cleaning. Now if you are a Service to Self kinda guy, and somebody would ask you to volunteer for this latrine duty, how would you justify wanting to do it?… Read the rest
