USDA Certified Organicâ€™s Dirty Little Secret: Neotame

Just when we thought that buying â€œOrganicâ€ was safe, we run headlong into the deliberate poisoning of our organic food supply by the FDA in collusion with none other than the folks who brought us Aspartame. NutraSweet, a former Monsanto asset, has developed a new and improved version of this neurotoxin called Neotame.

Neotame has similar structure to aspartame â€” except that, from itâ€™s structure, appears to be even more toxic than aspartame. This potential increase in toxicity will make up for the fact that less will be used in diet drinks. Like aspartame, some of the concerns include gradual neurotoxic and immunotoxic damage from the combination of the formaldehyde metabolite (which is toxic at extremely low doses) and the excitotoxic amino acid. But surely, this product would be labeled! NOT SO!!! For this little gem, no labeling required. And it is even included in USDA Certified Organic food.

The food labeling requirements required for aspartame have now been dropped for Neotame, and no one is clear why this was allowed to happen.

We spoke last
month about a divergence in energy — internal vs. external — which
continues on in the present month, deepening and becoming more plainly
evident. Last September there was a significant nexus or
choice point made which resulted in some noticeable change for many of
you. Many people found themselves feeling more fully aware of their
paths, or more fully aware of the interconnection that exists between
all life. It is not inaccurate to state that many people interpreted
that nexus energy as the creation of an “us vs. them” or “happy” world
vs. a “sad” one, because, in some ways, that has indeed been what has
been created and is now resulting in the continuing divergence we see
at present.

Beginnings

Many of you are creating
beginnings this month, or what feels like beginnings (but really are a
continuation of what you have built before this). Tangible evidence of
these beginnings can include:

Changes in vocation, job, or focus

Shar Joy Thought of the Day

As I sit here, we are having a heat wave. Its most uncomfortable but I have been eating cold soup purees and iced green teas. Even the stray cats digestive system is off and is seen eating grass. I want to get cedar chips as most bugs don’t like the scent because the bugs are finding it too hot and want to come inside. I was talking with a friend earlier and remembering how his Aunt had a "New Age," store years ago. I loved to buy special minerals and video’s on people from around the globe. Yet I noticed that this woman and her husband didn’t keep themselves in shape nor did they highly recommend any of the products they sold. I wondered if they were in denial of who they really were and so stubborn as to have a fixed, stiff mind which also gave them fixed, stiff bodies. At the time they made good money but they weren’t endorsing any principles for themselves. Before my friends Aunt died she told me of their aliments and emotional problems. What energy and experiences can we expect in July 2010?

This
month has a lot of forward momentum. This month also has a time warp
element, which is that it is like double or triple the amount of time
is packed into the month. A lot of you are going to feel like more
is happening than you can keep track of. This time warp operates in
an interesting way. The best way we can describe it is if you imagine
yourself on a very fast moving train. As you first begin to pick up
speed and you watch outside the window, you see things going by faster
and faster and it feels like you are moving really fast. Once you
reach a certain speed, everything seems to go by in a blur and there
is kind of a strange sensation that can occur at that point when you
feel like things slow down. You will feel like things get quieter
when you actually reach such a high speed, almost as if you are not
moving. That is the way July is likely to feel.

Many of you
will feel at times, that there is so much happening in just a moment
or just an hour, it will feel like a whole day goes by. At other times
of the month, you are going to feel like you are moving through
molasses. Like everything is so slow and peaceful that you will wonder
if you are missing something. How you experience this time warp will
depend on you and your path and what you are working on in your
personal life right now. Overall, every single one of you will
experience the time warp in one way or another. For most of you it
will be both ways at different times in the month. This month, be
aware of that dynamic and do your best to go with the flow and work
with it.

Let the really rich, intense kind of packed times be
what they are and just take them one step at a time. During those
times when you are moving so fast you cannot even tell that you are
moving, let yourself rest your mind. You are not missing anything or
if you are missing something that is important, it will come to your
attention later on. Let yourself have these moments of rest when you
feel a sense of calm amidst all of that momentum.… Read the rest

Birthday Sale misinterpreted

At first glance of Lauren’s title today, I figured "Hey, that’s a great idea!" Rather than inviting friends over to bring you more stuff you may or may not like, why not have them over to a sort of garage sale where they can acquire stuff from your life at a price of course? Great way to remove the clutter from your life, leaving you with some neutral currency to fill the void thus manifested with what you really like….

Lauren’s idea isn’t quite the same in hindsight, but to be honest I’ll just repeat it below:
