NASA wants your vote on Ceres’ mysterious bright spots

NASA wants your vote on Ceres’ bright spots

The nature of the bright spots has yet to be elucidated.

Excerpt from thespacereporter.com

NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory has set up a website at which members of the public can register their votes as to the identify of the strange and unexpected bright spots seen on Ceres by the Dawn probe. Although Dawn will study the spots in much greater detail in the near future, having just assumed its first scientific orbit, in the meantime the nature of spots in anyone’s guess. This author voted for “ice”.

It seems ice is the most popular possibility so far, with 33 percent of the vote. The next most popular choice is “other”, with 28 percent. “Volcano” and “geyser” both have 11 percent, “salt deposit” has nine percent, and “rock” has eight percent.

At about 590 miles in diameter, Ceres is the largest body in the asteroid belt between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. Dawn had imaged Ceres’s surface throughout its approach. Dawn entered orbit of Ceres on March 6, the first spacecraft to orbit a dwarf planet. From 2011 to 2012, Dawn also orbited the asteroid Vesta, the second-most massive body in the asteroid belt. Having studied both Vesta and Ceres, Dawn is the first spacecraft in history to orbit two extraterrestrial objects. Dawn’s investigations of Vesta and Ceres will shed light on the early evolution of our solar system; both bodies represent incipient planets, gravitationally perturbed early in their formation.

“The approach imaging campaign has completed successfully by giving us a preliminary, tantalizing view of the world Dawn is about to start exploring in detail. It has allowed us to start asking some new and intriguing questions,” said Marc Rayman, Dawn’s mission director and chief engineer at the JPL, in a separate NASA statement.

Dawn Enters Orbit Around Dwarf Planet Ceres ~ Video

Ceres Dawn

Dwarf Planet Ceres

Excerpt from spacenews.com

NASA’s Dawn spacecraft arrived in orbit around the dwarf planet Ceres March 6, completing a journey of nearly seven and a half years and five billion kilometers.  In a statement, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory said Dawn entered orbit about 61,000 kilometers above Ceres at 7:39 am EST March 6, sending a signal to Earth about an hour later confirming it was in orbit and in good health.  “We feel exhilarated,” Dawn principal investigator Chris Russell said in the statement. “We have much to do over the next year and a half, but we are now on station with ample reserves, and a robust plan to obtain our science objectives.”

Dawn will gradually spiral down to its initial science orbit, 13,500 kilometers above Ceres, by April. Later in its mission Dawn will move gradually closer to the surface, eventually moving into an orbit of 375 kilometers.  The Dawn spacecraft, built by Orbital ATK, launched on a United Launch Alliance Delta 2 rocket in September 2007. After making a gravity assist flyby of Mars in February 2009, it entered orbit around the large main-belt asteroid Vesta in July 2011. It remained there for more than a year, using its ion thrusters to leave orbit in September 2012 to head to Ceres.

Ceres, the largest object in the main asteroid belt between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, was the first asteroid discovered by astronomers, in 1801. The International Astronomical Union designated Ceres a “dwarf planet” in 2006, a new category of objects that also includes the former planet Pluto.

Helios and Vesta: Be the Love and Light Each Day

Beloved Ones of the Light,

We are so honored to speak with you this day! Know that we, of the Central Sun, hold each of you in the highest esteem and that we add our great Light and energies to your endeavors to anchor the Great Light upon and within the Earth. Your efforts are creating miracles and as you continue, the most wondrous probabilities and possibilities are beginning to manifest within the Cosmos. Your Light and determination to assist all to Ascend is noted and honored. Know that great good is being accomplished.

We from the Higher realms always honor the free will of the people of the Earth and so when you offer the Invocation to the Great Light, we joyfully renew our efforts on behalf of all on Earth and for the Earth. Keep on with this Call, Dearest Lightworkers, for it is one that is honored throughout the galaxies. By making this Call you are co-creating Heaven on Earth. No one who chooses the Light of God that never fails that lives within their heart and soul will be left behind. You are to be commended for your determination that this be so!

The greater Light and frequencies are ever bringing up all that which has been hidden and is now being exposed to the Light for revelation, review, and transmutation. There are many lessons being learned by all and a greater unification is taking place. You are beginning to understand how only one person can make a big difference in the World. Your individual Light is in turn adding to the greater Light. The Legions of Light who have gathered to assist at this time are responding with joyful enthusiasm to your Calls, for when you make your Calls, you give permission on behalf of Humanity, for these responses to take place.

Lady Vesta and I are most honored by your Calls and send forth our energies and our Love in response. Our hearts are filled with joy and gladness to look upon the children of God and see the Love and the Light that shines out from each heart that radiates outwards in great concentric circles to encompass all. We join with you in these efforts. We surround each Lightworker making these Calls with our great Love and protection. You are precious to us and we hold you close to our hearts. Beloved Children, continue on in your quest to establish Heaven on Earth and it shall be so before you know it!

Love is the greatest force in the entire Universe and nothing can withstand its influence. Be the Love and the Light in the World each day, no matter what personally transpires for you, and by so doing, you make your stand for all that is right and good. We send to you our great Love with heartfelt thanks!
